Why Allergen chicken test?


The Allergen chicken test is a part of the food allergy panel. This chicken allergen test checks for an allergic reaction to chicken by determining the levels of IgE antibodies present in the blood. A skin prick test also called a puncture or scratch test is performed in the forearm for allergic response elicited by the body against that specific protein or any related antigen in the suspected patient. Some of the symptoms of chicken allergy include itchy, swollen, or watery eyes, runny, itchy nose, sneezing, difficulty breathing, scratchy, sore throat, cough and wheezing, irritated itchy red skin and/or eczema-like rash in the skin, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and clinical manifestation of signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, etc. untreated complications of a chicken allergy can lead to consequences like rapid heartbeat, sudden drop in blood pressure, heart palpitations, trouble breathing, swelling in the air passage of the throat, slurred speech, swollen tongue, swollen lips, cyanosis around lips, fingertips or toes and loss of consciousness, etc.
